Denbaya Drum & Dance is a 501c(3) non-profit arts and culture, performance and education organization based in Ashland, Oregon. That’s the long way of saying that we offer spirited, authentic experiences of West African music and dance!

Denbaya (which means, "family we care for" in many of the West African Mande language dialects) is committed to building intercultural understanding through the medium of performing arts and education.

Denbaya's mission is to share our passion, creativity, and knowledge through musical performances, through well-designed school and university programs, and through special community celebrations.  We honor our commitment to West African music by preserving its traditions and by giving back to our local and African communities that make this intercultural communication possible.
